Does all breast augmentation require surgery? I’m scared of the extreme nature of surgery and silicone but would love to regain the shape and fullness I was prior to children. What are some of the latest developments around fat transfer, or injections?
In Australia most breast augmentations are still performed surgically at this time. Macrolane injection to achieve a small increase in bust size has not gained formal approval for use yet in Australia. Fat injection is a form of surgery and is very slowly gaining acceptance – more so in the USA than here in Australia. Only small increases in bust size can be achieved with either fat or Macrolane and is not suitable for breasts where there is droop following pregnancy and breast feeding.
